Joan Henry appointed Chief Economist & Head of Research

Joan Henry is an economist and property market expert, with over twenty years’ experience in banking, consultancy and property research. 

A very experienced property research professional, Joan previously worked as Head of Research with Savills Ireland and BNP Paribas Real Estate.  She built both companies Research Department’s capabilities and significantly increased the profile of their companies with clients and the media. 

Her breath of experience and expertise covers all property sectors; the Investment market, the occupier markets – Offices, Retail and Industrial as well as New Homes and Residential.  Joan also holds a PSRA Licence. 

She holds a First-Class Honours Masters in Economics. Joan was research assistant for Peter Sutherland, the ex-European Commissioner & then Chairman of Allied Irish Bank before joining KPMG Management Consulting.  She spent several years as an economist in the Treasury division of Bank of Ireland. Following that she joined Cap Gemini Ernst & Young as a management consultant. Joan moved in to the property industry in 2005.
